In this clip migrants are seen shouting and throwing chairs at each other at the centre in Apeldoorn. Dutch politician Geert Wilders said a centre employee sent him the video on Friday, December 2nd. Up to 30 men are seen throwing plastic chairs and table legs at each other in a large hall.
Mr Wilders told Dutch media he did not know the video was taken from an incident last year.
He said: “I did not know. But it does not matter because it happened.”
Four men were injured in the fight and transferred to another asylum centre following the incident.
The video posted by Mr Wilders, the founder and leader of the right-wing populist Freedom Party, has been retweeted by more than 1,300 users on the social media site.
His post comes as the politican celebrated a victory for his party in the Dutch parliament.
