This may clear any doubts you may have about modern Christianity having been corrupted into a suicide cult.
The first Christians were not complainers, Pope Francis said Saturday, because “sad people are not Christians.”
“We think of the first Christians, who had everyone against them, who were persecuted and yet they didn’t complain about the world,” the pope told participants in an international conference on evangelization taking place in Rome.
“Reading the New Testament, we see that they were not concerned with defending themselves against an empire that put them to death, but with announcing Jesus, even at the cost of their lives,” he said.
If you complain about the world, if you complain about the evil that is being done to you and to your people, if you complain about injustices — then guess what? You are not a (modern) Christian!
If you defend yourself instead of embracing your demise with a smile, if you defend the ones you love, if you oppose the evil that is being done to you and to your people — then guess what? You are not a (modern) Christian!
Modern Christians are masochists.
“Let us not be infected by the defeatism that sees everything as going badly,” he continued. “This is not the thought of God. Sad people are not Christians.”
“The Christian suffers many times, but does not fall into a profound sadness of the soul. Sadness is not a Christian virtue. Sorrow is,” he proposed.
Many would say that sorrow is a deeper form of sadness, and according to the “Pope,” that’s a Christian virtue.
“In order not to let ourselves be robbed of the enthusiasm of the Gospel, let us invoke the author, the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of joy who keeps the missionary ardor alive, who makes life into a love story with God, who invites us to attract the world only with love, and to discover that we only have life by giving it away,” he said.
Yes, according to the “Pope,” true Christians:
- Give away (waste) the DIVINE GIFT OF LIFE
- Live in sorrow
- Let anyone do anything to them because defending themselves is not Christian
- Don’t point out injustices or problems because complaining is not Christian
Also according to the “Pope,” kids should rule the world.
Pope Francis told a group of schoolchildren Saturday that they are called to build a “global village” of education, which is “the best medicine against all forms of discrimination, violence, and bullying.”
“We are all called to build a ‘global village of education.’ What a beautiful expression! A global village of education, whose inhabitants generate a network of human relations, which are the best medicine against all forms of discrimination, violence and bullying,” Francis said.
“In this great village, education becomes the bearer of fraternity and creator of peace among all the peoples of the human family, and also of dialogue between their religions,” he said.
In his address to the group, the pope said that adults need to learn from children, particularly when it comes to the protection of nature, since they are at the “forefront” of the environmental movement. The pope has been vocal in his praise of young people like Greta Thunberg who agitate against global warming.
Yes, yes, invert the natural order and have kids teaching and leading adults.
Invert the cross too while you’re at it.
