The 16-year-old girl was relaxing on the couch in her living room when gunfire tore into her home, according to a statement from Detective Mark Jamieson on the Seattle Police Department website. Rounds went through walls and a front window, one of which struck the bridge of the girl’s glasses.
Although the glasses were broken, the teenager was spared from serious injury. Several other people were in the home at the time of the shooting, including children. None of them were hurt, even after the shooters returned to fire into the house a second time, Jamieson said.
